ADULT SPORTS LEAGUES-GENERAL INFORMATION

A great way to stay active and have fun with your friends, family, and co-workers!

VOLLEYBALL:

Leagues for men, women and coed in Power and Intermediate divisions.
Teams play one night per week at various school gyms.

Registration: June - July
Dates of Play: late August - November
Registration: January
Dates of Play: January - March


BASKETBALL:

Leagues for men and women.
Teams play one night per week at various school gyms.

Registration: September
Dates of Play: October - November
Registration: November
Dates of Play: January - March

SOFTBALL:

Fast and Slow pitch leagues for men, women and coed teams.
Teams play weeknights at diamonds throughout the city.

Registration: February – March
Dates of Play: May– August 

 
Registration: July
Dates of Play: late August – early October


BASEBALL:


Teams play weeknights at Bowman, Warner and Mansfield.
Leagues for 24 adult teams.

Registration: March – April
Dates of Play: June-August

SPORTS LEAGUE RESOURCES:


AGE : 18 years and older (16 for baseball and softball). High school students are not eligible for volleyball, basketball or fall softball.

 

RESIDENCY : 50% of team members must reside in Madison Metropolitan School District.



FEES
:  
Cover the cost of officials, facilities,supplies, scorer-timers and league administration. All games for a given league are played on the same night of each week. Teams self rate their skill level and are placed in a six-team league of comparable ability, wherever possible. Teams play a double round robin schedule totaling ten games (five games for fall softball, fall basketball and winter volleyball), with the first round winner playing the second round winner for the league championship. Maximum participation, low key, fun, yet competitive with a good time for all!

Last year's managers will be mailed registration information. If you were not a manager last season and want to organize a team, call 204-3024 to get on the mailing list. If you want to get on a team and not form one yourself, see Player Referral Pool below.

 

PLAYER REFERRAL POOL: If you would like to get on an adult team, sign up on Player Pool Referral Form on this site. We will make your name available to managers seeking players. No fee until you join a team.

Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) is the public recreation provider for the residents of Madison (within the boundaries of the Madison Metropolitan School District).


MSCR is a department of the Madison Metropolitan School District and has been providing recreation services for over 85 years!
