MSCR administers Community Learning Centers (CLCs) in nine MMSD elementary schools. Community Learning Centers provide after-school, evening and weekend enrichment clubs/classes for K-5th grade students and families who live in the school attendance area for the CLC site. Eight Community Learning Centers host both Safe Haven after school childcare and enrichment clubs/classes.

KIDS DAY OUT - 204-3022 (School Year Only)


Supervised activities on no school days for elementary-age children from all MMSD elementary schools - swimming, art, games, performing arts, field trips. Five Community Learning Centers located at Falk, Glendale, Lake View, Lincoln and Mendota elementary schools are the designated sites for Kids Day Out programs. Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) is the public recreation provider for the residents of Madison (within the boundaries of the Madison Metropolitan School District).


MSCR is a department of the Madison Metropolitan School District and has been providing recreation services for over 80 years!


We have a wide range of recreation programs and services for all ages that are offered year-round.
