This annual event is the primary fundraiser enabling Friends to provide financial support to Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR). Through past fund raising efforts the Friends of MSCR have been able to:
- Improve creative play options for children in after school programs with new equipment
- Enhance dance and fitness programs by installing dance mirrors at MSCR
- Enable individuals with disabilities to ski with new bi-ski equipment,
- Provide learning opportunities to high schoolers as they build a storage shed for canoe equipment
- Bring the great outdoors to low-income youth through pontoon boat rides and cross-country skiing programs,
- Enhance the Glendale School garden with new benches and plants
- Create an endowment to support MSCR and public recreation in Madison forever!

Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) is the public recreation provider for the Madison community and in 2011 is celebrating 85 years of providing creation services! MSCR, is a department of the Madison Metropolitan School District, providing a wide range of recreation programs and services for all ages that are offered year-round.
