Recreation Inclusion Staff (10+) $10.40/hr Sept ‘08 - June ‘09 (Dates vary per assignment)
Assist individuals with disabilities in inclusive youth and adult MSCR recreation programs. Part-time, afternoon and evening hours available; hours vary depending on program up to 18.5 hours / week. Experience supporting individuals with disabilities and/or experience with inclusive recreation programming preferred. Must have proven dependability, teamwork, ability to make necessary accommodations for individuals with disabilities and readiness to actively participate in all aspects of the program. Adaptive Swim Site Directors (1), Instructors (2) and General Support Staff (2-4) (2-4 hrs weekly)
Teach or support youth with disabilities that have adaptive skills in a warm water pool, Lapham school pool, Sept. 20-Nov. 22. Instructional classes are from 9-9:40 and 9:45-10:25 am and water walking is from 10 am-12 noon (adults). Weekend differential pay provided: $5.00/hr. Adaptive Sports and Recreation Leaders for People with Disabilities
(5-10 positions, 2-6 hrs weekly) $10.40/hr Seot. 2008-Dec. 2008
Provide support and leadership for either youth or adults with disabilities, across types of disabilities, in the areas of: power soccer, day trips, instructional swimming, water walking, goal ball for the vision impaired and other activities.
