In 1926 MSCR began by a group of forward-thinking individuals who represented a vibrant, growing community of active people. Fortunately Madison, and MSCR in particular, still retains that sense of community. A place where you belong and where you can come to learn, practice and play with your fellow citizens.
MSCR is still a group of forward thinking individuals, who represent a community concerned about health, fitness and the overall well-being of its citizens. Madison has changed a lot in 85 years, but some things remain the same. MSCR reflects this in our mission statement:
MSCR will enhance the quality of life for individuals in the Madison Metropolitan School District and for the community by providing recreation and enrichment opportunities year-round that are accessible to all.
The MSCR 2013 Fall Program Guide will be inserted in the Sunday, Wisconsin State Journal (for Sunday subscribers only) on August 4, and mailed to all other MMSD residents August 5-9, or view our current guide online.
