The fall program serves men and women, 18 years and older, who are out of high school. The program is conducted from early-September to mid-October. Individually organized teams may apply to participate in one of the following divisions of slow pitch play: Men's, Women's or Coed.
The program is limited to 72 teams due to facility and seasonal staff availability. The fall softball program uses similar rules to the summer MSCR adult softball program but may experiment, on occasion, with potential rule changes. DIFFERENCES IN FALL SOFTBALL, COMPARED TO MSCR SUMMER SOFTBALL · Registration is FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE – only 72 total teams will be accepted. · Rain-out nights will be scheduled on Tuesdays to makeup any rain-outs, up to that point in the season. Additional rain-outs will be made up at the end of the season, on your regular playing night. · A 15 run, “mercy” rule, after 5 innings, will be invoked in all games. · Standings will be kept and league champion will be determined, however no team trophy will be awarded. · When you register, teams will select their night of play, and diamond location for all games. You will receive your game balls and scorecards at registration. · Only one umpire will be assigned, per game. Fees and registration information is outlined in the team application information. For your fee, your team receives game balls, scorecards, schedules and one umpire per game. Bases are supplied. Standings are published on the MSCR website, on a daily basis: www.mscr.org Gloves and bats are your team's responsibility. Uniforms are optional. The program is intended to be low key, fun--yet competitive--come join us! Please note, space is limited for this program and registration is first come, first serve.
