Friday afternoon features plaster casting on the beach and the week of July 14 features the re-painting of the Vilas Park Shoe-a Madison tradition! Groups larger than 8 people are limited to one visit per summer and MUST pre-register by calling 608.204.3021.

Super Center Arts Camp:super center

In 1996, MSCR developed the Super Center Arts Camp and since then over 10,000 youth entering grades 1-5 have participated! In many ways Super Center is like the perfect summer day camp program because it includes swimming, field trips, and outdoor activities. But! It has a  special difference in that it has an emphasis on the Arts. Participants are grouped by age and rotate through music, drama and art each day, all revolving around a weekly theme. This camp is great for children who would prefer to have more exposure to music, art and drama than a general camp provides. Field trips or special performances usually take place on Fridays. Extended day option consists of quiet games, self-directed art activities and supervised outdoor play.

Summer 2010 camp/program information will be available March 7, 2010.

 Adult Arts & Enrichment:

Learn new artistic skills or spend time doing the things you have always loved. MSCR offers a great selection of programs to satisfy your creative side! Sample program areas may include:

Wood Kiln Rentals:

The MSCR Scott Dickinson Memorial Wood Kiln is available for group or school rentals. Knowleadgeable MSCR staff will orchestrate and teach you the unique process of wood firing. Participants are required to help load the kiln, stack the kindling and attend the firing. The kiln will be available Mondays-Saturdays, March-December, with firings taking 8-10 hours to complete. Please call 204-3005 to schedule a firing or for additional information.
