Fee Waiver Policies & Form

MSCR Fee Waivers - Please Read

Fee waivers are available only to MMSD residents. No residents will be denied access to MSCR programs based on inability to pay fees. MSCR youth program fees may be partially or fully waived on request for persons meeting the criteria for free or reduced lunch. Participants are encouraged to pay a partial fee. MSCR adult program fees may be reduced up to 50 percent upon written request of the participant or by agency referral. Eligible adults have income at or below 185 percent of Federal Poverty Level (chart below) and must complete a Request for Fee Waiver Form. Fee waiver requests must accompany registration form. Fee waivers will not be granted after registration is processed.

Fee Waiver Limitations

Adults

Fee waivers are limited to per adult per program session. Participants are required to pay 50 percent towards the program fee.

Youth

Fee waivers are limited to two per child per program session.

If a participant misses two days in the first week of a camp, or the first two class meetings, parents/participants will be notified that lack of attendance means the participant will be un-enrolled and lose his/her spot in the MSCR program. Fee Waivers are non-transferable.

Camp Policies on Fee Waivers

Fee waivers are limited to two per session (i.e. 2 weeks of summer camp) and are available only to MMSD residents. Please apply for Fee Waivers as soon as possible. Paperwork takes time to process. Day camp fee waiver request form must accompany registration form; fee waivers are not granted after registration is processed. If requesting a fee waiver for Super Center Arts Camp, Warner Park Kids Kamp & Safe Haven Summer Camp programs, parents must apply for Dane County childcare assistance by calling the connection line at 242-7441 and then provide written documentation of the County’s decision before MSCR will approve a fee waiver and register your child. A $20 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is due for each session of the day camps listed at the time of registration.
