Art Cart 50th Birthday Party
Co-sponsored by the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art and MSCR
The Art Cart is a free, traveling art program that provides creative, outdoor art-making experiences to children ages 3+ and their families. Activities include both group and individual projects, with a variety of materials. During a typical summer, Friday afternoons features plaster casting on the beach and the third the week of July features the re-painting of the Vilas Park Shoe — a Madison tradition!
Art Cart does not typically operate in inclement weather including heavy rain, high winds, storms, etc.
Art Cart is celebrating 50 years! Join us for two free family events!
- Saturday, June 7, 10-2pm at Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, 227 State St.
- Sunday, July 27, 2-5pm at the Vilas Park Shelter, 1602 Vilas Park Dr.

Showcasing the best of MSCR! Join us for the first Friday of the month November – March at MSCR West. Sign up for fun sessions like NYStaglia Night 2000s, Raquet Sports and more. Look for details in the Fall 2025 Program Guide in August.
Mobile Madison is a collaborative group of organizations that bring free, mobile activities to a multitude of Madison neighborhoods, prioritizing areas of limited access to resources in a collaborative effort. Member organizations work together to broaden the reach of our services to best benefit the Madison community.

Romance Under the Stars
The beauty of the night sky brings out the romantic side in all of us. Explore the current night sky with your Valentine in the comfort of the planetarium. It is a fundraiser for the MMSD Planetarium and all proceeds go toward future upgrades. Register early, this popular show sells out quickly! Registration is for an individual. Multiple sessions available in February .
Enchantment Under the Stars
Spend a magical evening with your special young person. Stargaze and discover the twinkling sky with your child(ren) in the comfort of the planetarium. The presentation is catered to a multi age/family audience. It is a fundraiser for the MMSD Planetarium and all proceeds go toward future upgrades. Registration is for an individual. Registered child must attend with at least one registered adult. Multiple sessions available in February.
