Basketball Skills Clinic

Youth learn basketball in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Clinic covers skills of the game, rules, team play and sportsmanship. Each session ends with a game.

Coach Pitch

Instructional, coed program for children entering grades 2-3. MSCR staff and volunteer adult coaches lead an instructional baseball program that emphasizes fundamental skills, team play and sportsmanship. Coaches pitch to batters – a baseball size ‘incrediball’ is used. The first three evenings are team practices, followed by an instructional six game season. Register at mscryouthsportsleagues.org

T-Ball

Instructional, coed program for children entering grades K-1. MSCR staff and volunteer adult coaches teach fundamental baseball skills, team play and sportsmanship. The first three evenings are team practices, followed by an instructional six game season. Practices/Games are approximately 1 hour, scheduled within the time frame listed. Sports Skills – T-Ball

A developmentally appropriate introductory baseball program for children ages 3-5. The program prepares children for organized T-Ball and baseball teaching skills in a non-threatening and non-competitive environment. Skills covered include running, batting, sliding, pitching and catching. Parents and children work together one-on-one in a fun atmosphere.

Tennis Lessons

Tennis lessons are held all over Madison at multiple locations.  Lessons are twice a week with day times and evening times available for grades K to 9. Classes are for pre-beginner to intermediate.

Track & Field Clinic

This camp is designed for youth entering grades 3-9. Whether a beginner or experienced track and field athlete, this camp provides instruction for many track and field events. These camps aim to assist campers in developing event specific skills.


Summer Sports Camps & Clinics

Mad City Sports Camp

Practice fundamentals of sports while focusing on building knowledge, skills and confidence! Learn health and fitness tips that can improve athletic ability and coordination. Get ready to be active and sweat! All skill levels welcome! Grades 6-9.

Sports Spectacular Camp

This camp is perfect for the athlete who enjoys playing a variety of sports and also those non-traditional recreation games. Camp focuses on a different sport each week and campers are taught skills and participate in games and activities in sports such as soccer, basketball, flag football and more. All of our camps have an emphasis of sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership and being kind to our fellow campers. For grades 2 to 5.

Ultimate Frisbee

Ultimate Frisbee is the sport of the future and MSCR is offering a series of youth programs designed to help all kids get into this spirited sport at a young age. Ultimate is the only sport that requires two players to score. With elements of soccer, football and basketball, ultimate teaches youth to be a good sport on and off the field. Youth learn skill fundamentals and an understanding of their position on the field to get everyone working together.

Basketball Skills Clinic

Each week children focus on basketball skills, rules, team play, and sportsmanship and play an instructional practice game. For both boys and girls grades 1-5.

Flag Football League

MSCR is partnering with NFL Flag and the Green Bay Packers to start the MSCR Flag Football League. This league is geared to teach young players the essential fundamental skills of football. Each player receives an NFL Equipment Package, which includes: one NFL FLAG Packers reversible jersey and one NFL Flag set. Flag Football League games are played on Saturdays, and may have additional practice scheduled by coaches. Registration and information

Soccer Clinics

Our soccer clinics are a 3 week program for participants age 9-18. This program is geared towards participants who are familiar with soccer and are interested in taking their game to the next level! Each week focuses on improving soccer abilities and working on skills related to each position including Goalie, Forward/Midfield, Defender. Participants elevate their understanding of basic soccer fundamentals by practicing passing, agility, footwork and game strategy. The emphasis is on individual instruction while maintaining socially distancing at all times. The staff work with participants on individual skills and focus on the essentials with each participant.

Soccer Skills

The focus is on movement, fundamentals and building basic soccer skills. Each week builds on the basic skills learned in the previous week through fun exercises, drills and games. Staff work with participants on individual skills and focus on essentials with each child. Social distancing policies and procedures allow for individual instruction without the need to share equipment. Staff are dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all. Pairs are introduced to a skill and work on it together with assistance and guidance from the staff. The 3-4 year old class is an adult + child class.

Sports Sampler

Give your child the opportunity to sample sports and learn skills in a fun environment! Each week is devoted to learning a different sport including soccer, baseball and track and fi eld through fun exercises, drills and games. Staff work with participants on individual skills and focus on teaching the fundamentals to each child. Pairs are introduced to a skill and work on it together with assistance and guidance from the staff. For ages 3-5.

Sports Skills

Developed by the National Alliance for Youth Sports, this program is designed to prepare children (ages 3-5) for organized sports, without the threat of competition or fear of getting hurt. Sports Skills focuses on a variety of general skills including: throwing, catching, kicking and batting. Children work with their parents to learn developmentally appropriate motor skill tasks that gradually build confidence.

Volleyball Skills

Instructional, coed program designed to teach basic volleyball skills including the fundamentals of serving, bumping, passing, and spiking. Rules and game strategies are also covered. Each week children build upon what they learned to improve their skills, and play an instructional practice game at the last class. For ages 6-12.
