Building Supervisor – Meadowood
Program Description:
MSCR operates Meadowood Neighborhood Center in collaboration with the City of Madison on Madison’s southwest side, in the Meadowood Shopping Center. The purpose of the Meadowood Neighborhood Center is to provide a safe, supervised place for youth during afterschool and evening hours, for neighbors to socialize, and space for MSCR programs such as arts, fitness and much more.
To provide customer service and building supervision at MSCR Meadowood Neighborhood Center and assist the programs and directors as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Secure, open and close MSCR-Meadowood Neighborhood Center building
- Problem solve
- provide customer service and support to participants
- instructors & staff
- Manage room bookings and set up requests for tables & chairs per facility user requests
- Understand, implement and communicate MSCR Mission, programming, and policies
- Assist in supervising building in absence of Center Director and Assistant Center Director.
- Ensure program and building safety
- Handle on-site emergencies and facilitate problem-solving.
- Provide support to MSCR staff and instructors
- Lead site tours
- Provide excellent customer service to participants
- Contribute positively to the work environment.
- Utilize registration systems to enter data and provide program information to participants and the community
- Attend trainings and staff meetings
- Other duties as assigned
- Locations MSCR Meadowood Neighborhood Center
- Start Date 05/05/2025
- Hours a Week:
Up to 18.5 hrs/week during school year (Hours may occasionally exceed 18.5 hrs/week, but must be pre-approved by the program supervisor. Full time positions available during summer for 9 weeks).
- Work Hours:
Monday: 8:45 am – 2:00 pm and/or 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Tuesday – Thursday: 8:45 am – 2 pm or 3:45 pm – 8:15 pm, Friday: 8:45 am – 2:00 pm and/or 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Saturday 10:30am – 3:15pm
- Pay Rate:
$18 per hour.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Over 18 years of age with a High School or HSED/GED.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Computer knowledge and proficiency
- Experience working with or within marginalized communities on social justice initiatives, services, programs and directives
- Supportive of MSCR mission
- Ability to move/lift/carry up to 35lbs
- First Aid/CPR Certification (we can get you certified if you are not)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Federal, State and local resources that serve low to moderate income families.
Bilingual (Spanish) desired, but not required.
Some college.
Familiar with MSCR mission and programs.
