Lap Swim Rules
*Swimmers must be age 13 and be able to swim laps continuously as part of a fitness regimen.
Winter & Spring 2026 Lap Swim
January 26 – May 7 (Skip 3/23-3/26), 6:15-8:15pm except Wednesdays at West
- Monday – West High School, January 26 – May 7, 6:15-8:15pm
- Tuesday – East High School, January 26 – May 7, 6:15-8:15pm
- Wednesday – Memorial High School, January 26 – May 7, 6:15-8:15pm
- Wednesday – West High School, February 18-May 20, 7-8:15pm
- Thursday – La Follette High School, January 26 – May 7, 6:15-8:15pm
Open Swim
Pool entrance is on Mifflin St near Ingersoll St. Lapham is a small, warm water, shallow pool (3 – 5ft deep). Capacity of 40 swimmers during open swim.
Policies
Children ages 6 and under must be actively supervised by an adult in the water and within arm’s reach. One adult (18+) must be present for every 2 children ages 6 and under. Any child under 12 must be actively supervised by an adult in the pool area. Children over the age of 12 may swim unaccompanied by an adult. Large groups (over 10 swimmers) require advanced notice. Please call the Aquatic Specialist (204-3019) to inquire. No inflatables allowed during open swim. Only Coast Guard approved flotation devices are allowed. MSCR equipment may be available during open swim at the discretion of the lifeguard on duty.
Winter & Spring 2026 Open Swim
- Tuesdays, February 17 – May 5 (Skip 3/24) at East High School, 4:15-5:45pm
- Fridays, January 9 – May 1 (Skip 3/27) at Lapham Elementary, 4-7:30pm
Lap & Open Swim Fees
A pool pass is required for open and lap swim. Passes can be purchased from the lifeguard or at any MSCR location during business hours. A 14 punch card (1=youth, 2=adult) costs $25. Children under age 3 are free with an adult swimmer. Passes are good at all indoor pools, are transferable, and do not expire. Checks, credit cards or money orders accepted. No cash. Pool passes are non-refundable.
