Adult Volleyball – Site Supervisor
Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) is Madison’s public recreation provider. MSCR offers a wide variety of athletic, recreational, arts and enrichment activities and classes for all ages in an accessible, inclusive setting. Programs include swimming instruction, MSCR on the Move, arts & enrichment classes, youth summer camps, sports camps & clinics, adult & 50+ fitness, adult sport leagues including pickleball, softball and tennis, and a wide variety of outdoor pursuits including paddling sports, pontoon trips, camping, orienteering and challenge courses.
As a department of the Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD), MSCR also provides afterschool enrichment activities, clubs and sports as well as summer programming in Madison elementary, middle and high schools, Allied Learning Center and Meadowood Neighborhood Center. Afterschool clubs and sports include: arts & enrichment, homework/academic clubs, drama, dance, skiing, soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross country and much more!
Program Description:
MSCR offers a variety of sports leagues for adults each season. Volleyball leagues play several nights per week at various gyms throughout Madison. There are two 7-week seasons and one 5-week season of volleyball leagues: October-November, January-February, March-April. More information can be found at mscrsportsleagues.org
Job Description & Duties:
The Adult Volleyball League Site Supervisor is responsible for the on-site management of all league activities, ensuring a safe, fair, and enjoyable experience for all participants. The Site Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact and MSCR representative for teams and officials.
• Prepare the courts for use
• Monitor play and spectators
• Submit scores and payroll report
• Clear the gym at the end of the night
• Maintain a recreational and fun environment for all league players and officials
• Exhibit great customer service, professionalism, and respect for teams and officials
• Demonstrate good oral communication and decision-making skills
Start Date: 10/5/26
Work Location: Memorial, West and LaFollette HS – Can list preference
- Hours a Week:
3.5-10.5 hours per week
- Work Hours:
6:45-10:15pm, Monday-Wednesday
- Pay Rate:
$19 /hour
- Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No prior experience is required.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Preferred Qualifications:
• Some knowledge of volleyball play and NFHS rules is a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
