For our family, MSCR has been more than just a list of seasonal activities; it has been the place where we discovered who we are.
It started with the basics—soccer, dance, basketball, and snowboarding. But the real magic happened at summer camp. I’ll never forget the day our daughter caught her first fish at the MSCR camp; she was so over the moon that she had to call her grandpa immediately to relay every detail.
Watching my kids transition from participants to Summer Camp Program Leaders has been one of my proudest moments. They are honing the leadership skills that will guide them into adulthood.
The kids didn’t get to have all the fun, though. MSCR challenged me to push my own limits—I even completed a half marathon thanks to the support of my MSCR running class! Now, my husband and I are tackling the pickleball courts.
MSCR opened doors for all of us to explore our passions, stay active, and connect as a family and to the Madison community.
