Assistant Swim Instructor – Summer 2024
Program Description:
MSCR offers swim instruction to participants of all ages, infants through adults, following the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim standards.
Job Description & Duties:
Assisting in the teaching of Red Cross Learn-to-Swim programs. Taking direction from the lead instructor to engage with swimmers. Learning how to lesson plan and co-teach and eventually lead teach, if desired by employee.
- Locations Goodman Pool, Lapham Elementary, West High
- Start Date 06/10/2024
- Hours a Week:
Up to 40 hours per week.
- Work Hours:
Daytime and evening weekday hours available (Monday-Thursday).
- Pay Rate:
$15.20 per hour.
- Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able (or willing to learn) to swim 25 yards of all six strokes to a Level 4 standard.
Must be comfortable in deep water (up to 12 feet).
- Preferred Qualifications:
Previous swim lesson experience or other experience working with youth.
