Creative Arts/Stem Exploration Camp Program Leader/Inclusion Staff – Summer 2024

Program Description: 

We are here to cater to ALL experience-level adolescent artists. Staff lead campers through various structured art projects using diverse mediums and techniques.Beyond art, campers engage in enjoyable activities, from entertaining games, to hands-on arts and crafts, and classic camp pastimes. We believe in providing a comprehensive experience beyond the basics of drawing. Our unique approach includes immersive field trips, exposing campers to diverse art forms such as theater, dance, pottery and more. We strive to broaden their understanding of art, fostering an appreciation for its many facets. Job Description & Duties:

The Creative Arts Youth Camp Program Leader/Inclusion Staff will supervise, plan and lead a variety of fine art activities and general camp activities for middle school youth in a recreational day camp setting. They will also provide support for students with disabilities in the camp, to ensure that all campers are successful. Youth Camp Program Leaders facilitate activities such as drawing, painting, and sculpture, as well as water games, circle games, and team-building activities. In addition to facilitating activities, Youth Camp Program Leaders are responsible for all-day supervision of students and ensuring that the camp is welcoming and engaging to all participants.

  • Hours a Week:

    Up to 40 hours per week.

  • Work Hours:

    8:45am-4:15pm

  • Pay Rate:

    $15 per hour.

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Ability to keep campers safe by upholding high behavioral expectations.
    • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with the staff team.
    • Ability to engage campers throughout the entire day of camp and create a safe and fun environment for campers to thrive.
    • Ability to actively participate in all aspects of the summer camp program.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Lifeguard, First Aid/CPR Certified or willing to get certified.
    • Previous resident/day camp staff experience.
    • Experience creating and participating in camp culture and community.
    • Ability to engage campers throughout the entire day of camp and create a safe and fun environment for campers to thrive.
